Deborah Crutchfield, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Deborah is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in the outpatient mental health sector. She works with individuals across the lifespan from pediatrics to geriatrics. She has over 18 years of experience in emergency medicine, psychiatry, and addiction. She specializes in treating patients with depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, addiction, and various other mental health issues.
Deborah completed and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is passionate, hardworking, and an advocate for the patients she serves. She uses a team approach and gives her patients a voice and enables them to be heard. Communication is the impetus for building rapport and collaboration. During her appts, you may find Deborah educating individuals about their diagnoses and medication regimen. Deborah wants her patients to be engaged and encourages them to become an advocate for their individualized treatment. She makes sure that her patients receive exceptional care that is nonjudgmental, informative, patient-centered, and safe.
A cause that is dear to Deborah is stopping the stigma of mental health among different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Removing the stigma will allow patients to feel safe, supported, and empowered to seek help. Deborah’s mission is to treat the whole patient, which includes assessing physiological and psychological symptoms, providing medication management, therapy, and support for the patient to heal, grow, and recover.

We're also here for anyone who's looking to recover from drugs or alcohol as we can provide medication-assisted treatment like Suboxone and Naltrexone (Vivitrol) (in office treatment only).
